Dr. Stephen Ramsay P.Eng.

Dr. Stephen Ramsay is a professional engineer with over 40 years of experience in teaching, research and consulting related to issues in the energy, oil & gas, chemical processing,  transportation and related industries. Dr. Ramsay s expertise includes environmental management, risk assessment, process design, optimization and project management. Dr. Ramsay is an internationally recognized expert in matters related to environmental engineering and risk assessment. Dr. Ramsay obtained BASc and MASc degrees from the University of British Columbia and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Dr. Ramsay was Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Western Ontario and Research Director of the prestigious Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory. Dr. Ramsay has provided expert testimony in numerous hearings and trials in many jurisdictions in Canada and internationally. Dr. Ramsay is co-founder, CEO and Principal Instructor of Pacific Institute

Dr. Romayne Smith

Dr. Romayne Smith Fullerton is a professor at the University of Western Ontario. She is an ethics scholar and researcher who established her publication record analyzing how mainstream media represent women (and gender broadly), marginalized people (particularly Indigenous peoples) and related issues. In recent years, Dr. Smith Fullerton’s expertise in the ethics of media coverage combined with a passion to explore how environmental issues are conveyed to the public offered her opportunities to partner on a Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada grant that looked at various aspects of information about Industrial Wind Turbines. An award-winning researcher and teacher whose in-depth knowledge about pedagogy and unique classroom style enable Dr. Smith Fullerton to offer the Pacific Institute current innovative curricula and content delivery. She is Co-founder and Chief Academic Development Officer at the Pacific Institute.
